I will never forget the first time I saw Jeanne Moreau in "Jules & Jim"...she was not a big star in the U.S., I was a young woman in the 80's and, like Jules and Jim in the movie, I instantly fell in love with her. She had a complex, intelligent beauty and made a great contribution to French film as both an actress and a director.
