Summer Sun Protection

I try to never leave the house without some sort of UV protection on my face and I am always looking for an option that is going to provide both good protection and not feel disgustingly greasy and clog up my pores. I think that I may have found my holy grail in the Shiseido Urban Environment Oil-Free UV Protector with Broad Spectrum SPF 42, it is both light and provides a matte coverage. I have tried the protection several times now, including in extreme heat and it was really comfortable every time and held up well.

The packaging says that "It promotes the natural beauty of skin by protecting against the three major causes of cell damage-UV rays, oxidation and over-production of sebum-for beautiful, healthy-looking skin. Water-resistant for up to 40 minutes, this lotion contains paeonia albiflora root extract to help reduce the look of visible pores and scutellaria baicalensis extract to promote the appearance of youthful-looking skin."

I love this Sloggers Wide Brim Sun Hat that is rated UPF 50+ Maximum Sun Protection. It is stylish and provides great protection too. I wear it when I'm walking my dog or running errands on a hot day and have gotten many compliments.

I love that it has a strap that you can either use to keep it from blowing off your head or when you go into a store, you can take the hat off and just let it hang around your neck by the strap.
